Why should I trade in?

We're offering users of our legacy products the opportunity to get the latest Focusrite & Novation gear. Trading in gets you a 25% discount code of the full price, to use on the latest Scarlett, Launchkey, or Launchpad products, and ensures your old gear gets a new lease of life or recycled for spares and repairs.


How do I trade in?

Head over to our Studio Trade In page, fill out the form and answer a few quick questions about the device you're going to trade in, and the model you're looking to upgrade to.


What product can I trade in?

Trade in your old Focusrite, Focusrite Pro or Novation product. It can be any model from the following product range: Scarlett 1st Generation, Scarlett 2nd Generation, Scarlett Octopre, Octopre Dynamic, Saffire, Forte, Clarret Thunderbolt, ISA MkI, Red 1 500 Series, RedNet 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 RedNet A16R & D16R MkI, Red 4Pre, VRM box, Novation AudioHub, Novation Nio, Novation Speed IO, Launchpad [MK1], Launchpad [MK2], Launchkey [MK1], Launchkey [MK2], Launch Control, Launch Control XL, Impulse, SL [MK1], SL [MK2]. No matter the condition we'll take it off your hands.


I have a current product that's not working. Can I trade it in?

If your product is still within our 3-year warranty you can get in touch with our support team who can help arrange for your product to be repaired or replaced free of charge. They can also help arrange a repair for any units outside of warranty. Head over to our Warranty Page for more details. If however you would prefer to trade up your product, then that's fine too, just head over to the Studio Trade-In page.


When do I get my code?

Once you've submitted your details, you'll receive an email letting you know that we are processing your details. It will usually take between 3-5 working days for our team to authorise your upgrade.

Once our team have processed your upgrade, you'll receive an email with your 25% discount code which can be used on your next Focusrite or Novation purchase from our e-store. Be sure to check your Spam/Junk folder as sometimes emails maybe sent to those folders.


Where can I use my code?

Your 25% discount code can only be used on the e-store at store.focusrite.com.


What products can I use my discount code on?

You can use your code on any Scarlett 3rd Generation interface, Clarett+ USB interface, Clarett USB interface, any size Novation Launchkey [MK3], Launchpad X, Launchpad Mini [MK3], Launchpad Pro [MK3], Peak, SL MKIII and Summit, to get 25% of full price.


How many times can I use my code, and can I use it on multiple products?

The discount code can only be used once.


How do I ship my old gear?

Once you have made your order with your 25% discount code, we will be in touch and provide a pre-paid label, along with instructions detailing on how to get your old gear to us. We'll also cover the cost of your shipping, you just need to print off the return label and drop off your packaged gear at your nearest shipping location. Please ensure you place your order for the new product as soon as possible, so that you receive your new product before the returning one is collected. *


What about postage and packing my current product?

We'll cover the cost of shipping your product. Simply pack the product in an appropriately sized box. Affix the prepaid shipping label and we will collect the product from you. You do not need a Focusrite or Novation box or the original packaging.

There may be a slight delay in collecting your product over the holiday period due to high order volumes. But don't worry we will be in touch as soon as we can.


What happens to my old product?

Once we receive your old product our team will test and evaluate it. If it's in good shape, we'll help it get ready to go to a new home. If not, we'll let you know where to send it for recycling.


Does my discount code expire?

Yes. Codes will expire up to a year after being issued.


Who can take part in the US Studio Trade-In Programme?

US Studio Trade In is only open to customers based in the USA. Check out the Terms & Conditions for further details about the programme.


Can I combine my code with other promotional offers or sales?

Unless otherwise stated, discount codes cannot be combined or used with other offers, promotions or sales. Codes cannot not be used on refurbished products.


Can I upgrade my Scarlett 3rd Gen/ Novation MK3 product to a larger one?

What if I change my mind and want my old product back?

All trade in transactions are final. Unfortunately, we are unable to send you your old unit back at a later date.
