Well I have a Mac OS 10.15.7 Catalina,.. and KRK speakers,..I got sound fora few days, then The volume decreased, then no sound at all. checked all my connections, and figured my speakers went bad,..so now I have new KRK speakers but still no sound! Are there downloads to get it going?? Thanks in advance, "T"

Purchased as an upgrade to replace an M-Audio Delta 10/10. Since this is USB, I can use it with my laptop at gigs as well as at home in the studio. The device is well built, highly configurable and works well with Ubuntu Studio and the low latency kernel. The only annoyance I have is the presence of a compulsory registration that blocks sample rates above 192 kHz until you register using Windows or Mac only software! Thankfully there is a work-around on Linux, but this is a dark marketing pattern and very annoying for paying customers who don't run a commercial O/S.

Works fantastic! Very easy to work with, came recommended to me from a person who's used these models of interfaces before and it did not disappoint. Only thing that was a problem... was that I was sent power cords for Asia and Europe, but I didn't get a North American power cord... not sure why or how that happened. I've yet to speak to anyone about this at Focusrite, but I'm hoping to get something sent to me. Either way, fantastic piece of equipment.

I purchased a 18i20 2nd generation years ago. It worked well until it developed a glitch in the mute button randomly going on and off. Much time spent trying to resolve with Focusrite. Eventually determined it was a hardware issue. I traded it in for a refurbished 18i20 which seems to work well. I like the product and price point. I did have some issues but hopefully now are resolved.

I haven't thoroughly tested this interface but I own a previous generation of these and they just work, neutral, useful, get the job done. I have to say though that the Focusrite Control Software is awful, previous versions were compact and you got all the infos needed on one screen. In FC you need to scroll and scroll, it is very graphic but I think it is made for "millenials" and not for seasoned audio gear users. Plastic is a bit cheaper than my old interface. All in all is a great product, you get a lot by the price.

Pots could be a little looser, but otherwise it's a brilliant bit of kit. Super stable and you really can't get any better for the cost. It sounds good and the build quality is solid The Focusrite MixControl software could benefit from a better UI, but it does the job anyway. This is a minor nitpick since you don't have to use it all that much.

Now that the 3rd gen 18i20 is out, the price on the 2nd gen unit has come way down. I picked this up to replace my 2nd gen 2i4 which has been awesome. I needed more inputs so I upgraded to the 18i20. It was a breeze to set up, even on a Windows machine. Focusrite has short, detailed, setup videos so you don't miss a beat. So far the unit has been up to the great quality I have experienced with my 2i4 and expect from Focusrite. Great unit, great price, easy setup and lots of inputs for me to grow into.

The outstanding quality of Focusrite Scarlett interfaces should be well known. I have juast recently bought the 18i20 2nd gen. as a complement to an 8i6 3rd gen., since I wanted more digital audio channels between two computers (S/PDIF plus ADAT). Why not the 18i20 3rd gen? The 2nd gen. was/is being sold in the Focusrite online store as a remaining stock at an unbelievably low price! And because I wouldn't miss the slightly better performance specs of the 3rd gen as a hobby musician, it was a no-brainer. Add to that the situation of identical drivers and control software of the devices: disconnect the 8i6, connect the 18i20 and it works instantly. No software setup at all. Apart from that, a necessary firmware update for the 18i20 was also recognized and carried out immediately, without any problems at the first start. This is so ingenious. I have experienced quite different, real horror stories with other manufacturers. I just love Focusrite!

The interface I have dreamed of for some years. Now, with the 3d gen on the shelves, it became affordable (just ;°). What a piece of gear, what a crystal clear sound! Well designed control centre as well. One thing had me startled: why no XLR or combined with Jack on the outputs ? But that's cabling, the Scarlett is great.

I purchased this unit on sale to expand my inputs from the 2i2. I'd still be using the 2i2 but I like using 2 mics and 2 direct sends all the time. Plus, I have room to grow if needed! The quality is exception. Don't let the modest price fool you. These units are solid and well built. Very low noise and low lateny on my daw! What more do you need? I've used focusrite since 2010 and will continue to do so. No need to look anywhere else.

I've only had this unit for less than 24 hours, so just beginning to play with it. I have been very impressed how quickly Focusrite shipped it to my door - I purchased it on Sunday night and I had it by Thursday (England to Canada). In addition, it was cheaper (and free shipping) to buy direct from Focusrite. Previously I had purchased a Scarlett 18i8, and upgraded to this unit as I needed more XLR inputs and opportunity to expand. Preamps sound good (as usual), and I did notice a difference in clarity in the headphone amplifiers. I'm using a set of AKG Q701s that are very good, and very clear, but I was surprised to hear more clarity out of the new unit. Excited to start tracking with it! Plus if you choose me for the discount draw, then I can go back and buy the OctoPre to go with this, in a couple of weeks. =)

Preamps sound great, DAC is solid and I love the routing options. The headphone amps are weak so I use line out to an external headphone amp, but that's really my only complaint. Awesome interface!!

Got it and couldn’t get sound out of the headphone jacks. An hour of Internet research led me to a firmware update and now it’s working great.

When I received my focusrite, I had 2 choices of AC plug, one for France and one for England. You sell in america, we have to consider that we are on the 120 volts and not on the 220 volts.
